4K (DOB 9/1/09-8/31/10)
Our curriculum, GET SET FOR SCHOOL, is the preschool component of the well-known Handwriting Without Tears. Children will learn the basics like letters, numbers, colors, handwriting skills, and phonics, but they will also learn beneficial life lessons that can be best taught in a Christian environment. Enrichment classes offered include Spanish, Chapel, and Music
DAILY ROUTINE: The daily routine will be structured, but filled with fun and creative activities to keep all children engaged and excited about learning! Your child will love coming to Mountaintots each day where they will experience learning through direct instruction, one-on-one teaching time, music, movement, art, Bible stories, centers and so much more!
COMPUTER: All of our Day School Rooms are equipped with computers. It is important for children to learn at an early age how to navigate with a mouse and how to use basic keyboarding skills.
A: Our building is equipped with security cameras located throughout. Video from these cameras are monitored at the front desk by church administration where they can keep a watchful eye on all campus activities. In addition, each child will be checked in daily, receiving a name tag and a computer-generated, pre-assigned number. The parent will be given a sticker with the same number. You must present the matching sticker in order to pick up the child. Only the Director or Assistant Director may release a child if the matching sticker is not presented or the identifying number cannot be provided. If someone else will be picking up your child, please notify the Director or Assistant Director ahead of time.
Q: What are the rules about when my sick child can come back to school?
A: We ask that you not bring your child if they have an active fever or have had one within the previous 24 hours. We also ask that you not bring your child if they have experienced vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or green/yellow runny nose within the previous 24 hours.

What our families have to say…
“We could not be more pleased with the program at Mountaintots. My older son did so well in the 2 year-old room that I had no reservations signing my younger son up for a few mornings a week in the nursery. I can tell the boys’ teachers love what they do and truly care about my kids. I know my preschooler learns so much in his room and my baby is cuddled and loved on while away from mommy. Everyone at the school is very friendly, caring and helpful. We are blessed to be a part of Mountaintots.”
“I will be forever grateful for the love and learning that Mountaintots has taught my daughter, Gabby! I have been going to Mountaintop since I was fifteen myself, so I would trust no one else with my precious Gabby. However, I would have never dreamed how truly amazing and what a blessing Mountaintots would be for us mommies who work! Gabby started Mountaintots when she was only eight months old, and we do not plan to leave until it is time to start Kindergarten. I will never forget how emotional it was to leave my only baby that first September morning in 2012, however, my tears quickly dried when one of her teachers told me she had the best job in the world, because she was paid to love! That’s truly what I feel like Gabby gets at Mountaintots, the teachers love her so much as they love all the children. I think all of the teachers are truly amazing and have been called by God to do His work in these children’s lives. Coach Crump and Kristen have completely revamped Mountaintots, and it just seems to be getting better and better. I know with the education she’s getting, Gabby will be well prepared for elementary school. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your time and devotion in these children’s lives.”

“Making the decision on where to have your child attend school or a MDO is such an important decision. As brand new parents, we wanted the very best for our son. From the moment we walked thru the doors, we knew we had found the place our son would attend. From the classrooms to the playgrounds, from the Director and Assistant Director to each and every teacher, we adore Mtn Tots. Our son and now our daughter spend every Tuesday and Thursday with the wonderful people at Mtn Top. They strive to be the best and give the best to the children. A strong focus on education with the foundation being developed though Biblical truths, our children are being taught and cared for in the most important ways. We highly recommend Mountain Top Christian Day School in every aspect and are so very grateful that our children are able to attend.”

“My husband and I cannot say enough about Mountaintots. We have been so thrilled with not just the educational curriculum that begins at such a young age, but also so grateful for the seeds that are being planted in our children’s hearts as they grow to not just know God but also believe in His amazing grace and love for them. When our oldest son came home and told us that “Jesus lives in his heart,” we knew that this was the right school for our family. We truly couldn’t ask for more! As a teacher myself, I know the importance of early childhood education; but as a mom, I am thrilled beyond measure for the well-rounded young men my boys are becoming as a direct result of the love and care they receive at Mountaintots.”

“Bella was only two when she started at Mountaintots, I had been talking to Lee Ann about the possibility of Mountaintop opening a preschool and was so excited about having her at our own church home even though I knew it would be an adjustment for her. Changing preschools is a big deal for a two year old but I knew that she would be totally loved by the amazing staff! Bella is now 7, in first grade and is sometimes way too smart! She learned so much about life, being around other children and Jesus. Her teachers were just totally amazing and were always incredibly informative throughout her years at Mountaintots. Bryson is now at Mountaintots and I wouldn’t have him anywhere else! He is so loved by everyone… counting, saying his letters, and sometimes even says some numbers in spanish and he is only two! His teachers are wonderful and he continues to learn new things everyday. I am so blessed and happy to be part of such an amazing preschool and church family!”
“We have been extraordinarily pleased with Mountaintots. From the Director greeting us at the door every morning to hearing friendly “hellos” through the building, our daughter, Kate, has blossomed. We love that Mountaintots is not simply a Mother’s Day Out program. They have activities like Soccer Shots and the Tumblebus, which has allowed Kate to explore extracurricular activities. We receive daily report cards and work on the things she is doing great and the things she needs to do better. Outstanding program, administrators and teachers.”
