Parenting With the End in Mind

Parents aren’t really raising children; they’re raising adults. The busy-ness of diapers, meals, carpool and birthday parties can often make parents feel like parenting is all about the 18 years you have them, but the most important thing parents do is launch an adult into the world. Will you raise an adult you want to be friends with? Will you give an adult the values they need to make it in this world? Thinking about that adult and who you want them to be is ‘parenting with the end in mind.’
