What To Expect

You will find we are taking precautions and following the guidelines provided by the CDC and the State of Alabama Health Department. Here are a few things you need to know. We are excited to be able to continue worshiping together both online and in person. Please continue to worship online if you’ve had any of these symptoms the week prior:
  • Fever above 100 degrees
  • Cough or sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Experienced new loss of taste or smell
  • Experienced vomiting or diarrhea
  • Contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • If you consider yourself to be in the risk category for COVID-19
  • MASK: Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask if you do not have one, there will be some available when you arrive.
  • HANDS-FREE HOSTING: Let’s work together to keep 6 ft distancing. There will be extra people in the parking lot to help guide you and people inside to help you keep distance while finding a seat in the auditorium.
  • DISTANCE SEATING: The auditorium will be sectioned off, and people will sit on every other row. Additionally, we ask that you leave three seats between you and the next family, which equates to 6 feet. When it is time to leave, we will ask you to go by section to avoid overcrowding.
  • SANITIZED: Over the past few weeks, the church has had several deep cleanings. There will also be a sanitation team on Sundays to clean the facility before, during, and after the service.
  • SERVING: Be on the lookout for more communication. We will be letting you know how you can volunteer to be a part of creating a fabulous experience for everyone in our community.

Children COVID Guidelines

  • Each week parents will be required to reserve a spot for their children, so that we can best plan for each service. The link will be sent via email, posted on social media and available on our website
  • Upon arrival, we will be checking temperatures of all our volunteers, parents, and children before they are allowed downstairs.
  • Children’s check-in will be touch-free and take place upstairs to allow for more space. Our wonderful host team will assist each family.
  • We are asking that only one parent go downstairs to drop off their child and pick up their child. We also ask that the parent who drops off be the same parent who picks up. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with multiple children.
  • Our hallways will be “one way.” We are asking parents dropping off their children to enter our environment down the main stairs in the atrium, drop off their child in their room, and then exit up the back stairs to the sanctuary. After the service, we will be asking parents to use the back stairwell to return downstairs, pick up your child, and exit up the main stairs to the atrium.
  • All staff, volunteers, and kids 3 yrs old thru 5th grade will be required to wear a mask.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing the entire church building each week.
  • Toys in each room will be switched out between services
  • Each Small Group room will have 10-12 kids with 2-3 volunteers.
  • Classes will be staggered upon entering the Large Group space. Only one class will be moving through the hall at a time.
  • Depending on our numbers each week, we may have multiple Large Group times with only 2-3 age groups worshipping together.
  • We will re-evaluate our procedures weekly depending on the number of families who reserve a spot.
  • If we receive a report that a child or volunteer has tested positive for Covid-19, we will notify all parents in that class and ask everyone to skip a Sunday before returning.
