When I decided to follow Jesus, my life became anchored in something bigger. I encountered hope, truth, wonder, and community . . . and I sensed a desire to share what I had found with others. I’m so thankful that my work each day revolves around inviting and equipping people to follow Jesus. I believe a healthy, thriving local church is the hope of the world.

I live in Hoover with my wife, June and our mini Golden Doodle, Maggie. We have three grown children – Hugh, Ashlyn, and Amber – a mechatronics engineer, a professional photographer, and a children’s pastor. When I’m not at church, I love to travel, staying active, mountain biking, golfing, skiing, college football, family time, and anything that feels like an adventure.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Auburn University. War Eagle! Upon a call to full-time pastoral ministry, I earned a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. Later, in preparation for planting a new church (The Orchard – Loganville), I entered the Beeson Pastor program to gain a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching and Church Leadership.

I’m super thankful to be on the team at Mountaintop and I can’t wait for the journey ahead! The best is yet to come!
