And maybe you once believed that if you trusted God and followed him faithfully, that you would be protected from the arrows of the enemy. The truth is, as followers of Jesus, we believe that the worst possible thing happened to the best possible person. God did not protect his perfect son from the cross, so where did we come up with this idea that things should be easier for us if we follow Jesus?
