“I thought I’d be further along, but I’m not.” Have you ever had that feeling? “I thought I’d be more faithful. I thought I’d be more obedient. I thought I’d be more Christlike.” This is a message mostly to Christians, but even if you’re new to faith, you may have the same expectations about your walk with God. By the end of this message, I hope that you’ll be encouraged because we are going to read a Psalm from King David who had the same doubts. And I hope you’ll see that you’re not alone. Second, I hope you will leave with a new sense of ownership over the future you because today’s reality is based on your past, but tomorrow depends largely on the you of today.
